What's really sad about these new AI tools, is that they are like any other tool. Responsible people use them as a tool to extend their own capabilities and be skeptical and careful. But not so responsible people will use them to hurt others and eventually themselves.

The same is true with knives and other potentially dangerous tools.

But of course TechBros will suggest their are the cure for every problem they can think of.

Meh. There don’t seem to be any #meshtastic nodes in my vicinity in the countryside. Need to climb a tree tomorrow to check if that improves the situation. Good I brought two nodes. Maybe I just place one as a hop on a high spot.

OK, the new release now contains OpenAI API integration to automatically generate Image Descriptions for the uploaded images.

https://repos.mxhdr.net/maxheadroom/insta-import-pixelfed/releases/tag/v1.0.3

with support from @dansup I found to right API calls for Pixelfed.

• ATTENTION*: Use at your own risk as this would obviously upload your images to OpenAI 🤷‍♂️

If no config for openai_api_key is provided, then the program will work without the OpenAI part.
