@tobi ich hab mir erstmal die rundum-sorglos Variante des T-Echo Meshtastic bestellt. https://lilygo.cc/products/t-echo-meshtastic-de

Das Ding koppelt man via Bluetooth mit dem Handy und dort lauft die Meshtastic App.

Die Dinger funken auf dem 868Mhz Band über mehrere Kilometer und bauen damit ein Mesh-Netzwerk auf. Nachrichten werden von den Nodes in Funkreichweite wiederholt und breiten sich so im Mesh bis zum Empfänger aus. https://meshtastic.org ist eine spezielle Software in Top die das Paket-Routing optimiert und verschlüsselte Kommunikation erlaubt.

@maxheadroom Danke! Hab auch den Talk gehört. Es macht also durchaus Sinn, das Gerät auch mobil mitzunehmen, bspw. im Auto - als. Repeater für andere z.B., oder?

@maxheadroom ja gut, weniger um mein Auto zu finden als z.B. als Relais zu fungieren, wie in deiner Hopping-Map, das z.B. ein Auto gerade zufällig in der Mitte ist und die Verbindung zu einem anderen Geräte herstellen kann.

But nothing stops one from setting whatever position

Using OP antenna is less likely, I guess.

Maybe one hop is mqtt?

@zonorti would that show somehow if a hop was MQTT? Node name matches GPS city though.
