antilibrary: I ordered two antiquarian books today. A dictionary of entomology and parasitology, from the GDR era. And a compendium of helminthology, much, much older.

The antilibrary is , as you may know, described as a collection of unread books, which consciously serves as a symbol of the "known unknown".

For me personally, this is a great idea and makes totally sense for me! what do you think? ever heard of it? thank you.

For antilibrary, see Wikipedia, among other places, and you'll find blog entries about it...

I've collected more than a dozen fiction books I would like to read, and half as much reference books on a variety of subjects. I've always been a little embarrassed to have yet read them. This idea of an antilibrary sounds very liberating and comforting. ยท 1 month ago
