@gmmds But jokes aside, I do sometimes wonder what constitutes chess strength. It’s obvious that openings, tactics, endgames matter. But I kind of think that evaluation / positional understanding, which is perhaps more about reasoning, sets the players apart when other factors are more or less equal.
