@dave I kinda do and neighbours really do. Cheap solar panels and batteries are the game changer. Rain capture is important. You also need to consider waste water. Getting supplies and mail requires a bit more organisation. Obviously Starlink Internet is tempting but clearly undesirable given recent developments.
