I am trying to figure out why billionaire US oligarchs, much of whose wealth is denominated in US dollars, are actively colluding to dismantle the entire government of the US. That will nearly certainly result in massive sell offs of US bonds by their non-US brethren when “the full faith and credit of the US government” becomes a joke and a risk, instead of representing a safe haven for wealth. In turn, that will devastate the value of the US dollar. And destroy most of these idiots’ wealth.
They will effectively be committing economic suicide, telling their old-money peers in essence: We extracted untold trillions of dollars by looting the US treasury, and then ensured that those dollars would become essentially worthless. Let’s see you destroy that much wealth!
