Last night I installed the MyPal browser (https://mypal-browser.org) on my XP machine, and I've been loving it. It's based on Firefox of course, which I had been previously been using- but regular Firefox on XP is limited. I could look at Gmail in the old XP version of regular Firefox (although Gmail will yell at you that the browser is outdated, just like it still does with MyPal), but modern things like Mastodon or Bandcamp wouldn't load at all.
Now, with MyPal, Mastodon loads and works great, and I can even look at Bandcamp pages. I still can't log into Bandcamp, it does a loop of sending an email to verify and never logs you in (at least for me). But that's fine- just being able to stream and blast Bandcamp stuff out of my desk speakers again, after my Windows 7 machine recently died, is killer. Game changer. 🔥
