In case you, like me, missed the quiet rollout in your region:
eBay is now offering 2fa without(!) using passkeys, their own app or sms/email, but finally via standardised TOTP for authenticator apps like Aegis, Ente Auth or 2FAS etc.
After years of willfully ignoring the issue, this came as an unexpected and pleasant surprise to me personally.
