It's ironic that American tech companies were leaders in offshoring jobs to low-wage countries, then those countries out-compete them.

American corporations & hedge funds couldn't bear the thought of a well-compensated middle class arising from high tech work.

AI was supposed to suppress wages of workers, not suppress the income of billionaires.
