@0xabad1dea I did pick a lot of fights with them. The occasional actual argument – you know, where I could influence their thinking – unfortunately didn't make up for when I couldn't. As a result it just alienated me earlier from them. It was the hardest with my divorced parents, but the nurturing of my kids sealed the deal. YMMV
