Strangers online are telling me I have my head in the sand as if I’m not an educated trans person who runs a human services nonprofit and is on the board of an AIDS assistance nonprofit and who’s on a city task force, simply because I choose to remain positive and find joy in my life and surroundings.
It’s truly unfortunate to watch my community harm itself by choosing to be miserable day in and day out.
I really hope some of you start choosing happiness (while also facing your fears).
