@lienrag Not sure I understood your question correctly, but it doesn't seem like it, in terms of population numbers and growth.
Germany had a population of 65 millions in 1933 and nearly 80 millions in 1939 (counting Austria, the Sudetes and other annexed lands). It was 65 in 1946 and nearly 83 in 2018.
