Dr. Schoerning just pointed out a crucially important fact in the interview I would like to share separately:

The average temperature after which photosynthesis fails is 46.7°C (116 °F).

High temperatures disrupt the enzymes involved in photosynthesis, leading to its inhibition.

No photosynthesis = no plant growth. Good morning, folks.
