In the Notes app on macOS, if you select a note from the list in the left column and then press the Delete key, the selected note will be immediately deleted without asking you for confirmation (like an “Are you sure?” dialog). This action absolutely needs a confirmation. Imagine accidentally deleting an important note and not noticing it for several days. What was Apple thinking.
