@enobacon I went to Cabela's and got waterproof outdoor boots - "RedHead Mallard", I think. They ain't sexy, but they are rubber and have a tall cuff that tucks under your pant legs and are basically impervious to Portland weather.
They don't come in extra wide though, but I would look for something in a similar vein.
