Original: Heads up for folk that were looking to get a passport - it looks like it's too late at this point for a gender marker change with what's being reported on Colorado Name Change Project and Reddit.
If you haven't changed the marker legally elsewhere you'd be able to get a passport still, from what I can see. If you've legally changed it.. Not sure of what actions to take. According to Them.us the press secretary stated that it just needs the gender marker that's on the birth certificate, but I can't validate anything.
For those with a current passport - hold onto it if it isn't expired/expiring. It looks like you do not want to change the gender marker at this point with the comments on the Reddit post saying their applications are showing rejected statuses. According to Them.us they're not making this retroactive so you should be okay with your current passport.
