!!! EDIT: This isn't exactly true after further testing. It appears to only happen when running "killall steam" from a terminal, and closing it from the tray icon works as expected, fully closing Steam !!!
So... I just discovered something new...
You'd think that Steam doesn't leave processes running in the background after it says that it's shutting down right?
Yeah, I guess not.
Solution: run "killall pressure-vessel-adverb srt-logger"
