Hey if I managed to lure anyone here from Bsky, welcome! Here's some tips to make Fedi better:

1. Federation is cool and awesome, but also janky. Because of how it works, you won't see all the comments under a toot. But there's a browser addon that will fetch them for you called Substitoot!

2. When you're writing a post, there's two buttons under the post box that probably say "Public" and "English". The first one is the visibility of your post; the second is the language you're posting in. You can change both of these defaults in Preferences > Other.

3. If you decide you want to try a different server, you can easily redirect your profile to the new one you're moving to! That's under Preferences > Account > Account settings, then scroll down to "Move to a different account". It won't move any of your posts, likes, or favorites, but it will transfer who you're following and who is following you. It will also leave a banner on top of your old profile linking to your new one.
