Immediately after withdrawing from the World Health Organization, Trump stops CDC, FDA & NIH from giving public health updates.

“The CDC was scheduled to publish several MMWR reports this week, including three about the H5N1 avian influenza virus outbreak, according to one federal health official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share internal discussions”

We’re entering a near total information black out when it comes to public health … all in the apparent name of “freedom”

Covid is still killing and disabling people. Georgia had a huge outbreak of H5N1 necessitating closures of multiple poultry plants. Louisiana recently had the first human bird flu death in the United States.

The people deserve transparent, accurate and timely information when it comes to threats to public health.

They shouldn’t be left relying on apps run by his oligarch billionaire friends who we know have a vested interest in downplaying public health issues.

Ask yourselves who benefits from restricting access to this information… its not the general public

I wish I had easy answers… but right now it feels very hard to find hope.

I promise it’s still out there though. In the independent media, the activists and advocates and the volunteers providing as much boots on the ground support as they can.

As always I genuinely believe the best thing you can do is wear a good quality respirator. Encourage family and friends to do the same. Safeguard your health while you still can.
