My family must've sat in the car in the rain at every town on the N Wales coast, some 'highlights':

• Caernarfon: bloke went to boot of his car, took out a huge fish, & bashed its head against the wall

• Didn't make it to Llandudno, road flooded, stopped & watched cars splash through it

• Holyhead: briefly braved the elements before retreating, parked near a big ship and looked at it through the rainy windows
