I don't get the hate for flatpacks. I have really enjoyed the movement towards them, as I have multiple systems in my home office/lab and having my /home separate, but usable from various systems is amazing. Sharing apps installed from Debian, Fedora, etc is nice. I install a flatpak on my Debian system, it shows up on my Fedora system. I don't have to remember what I installed over there, it's just there. I've been doing this for years and haven't had an issue yet.
