While it's easy to understand why politicians like Khalida Jarrar are persecuted by Israel it's important not to forget how arbitrary these detentions of average civilians are.
Another recently released hostage explains how the Israelis held her on charges which were kept a secret from her for her entire time in the Israeli torture camp. How is Israel a democracy if there is no rule of law and no due process in cases like this?
