If you can do the thing if you have the gumption & means, then you need to do it cuz not everyone can. The psychic toll of going against the grain is bigger for some, according to your quirks.

I'm very quirky: I (sometimes) can do the thing, will do it, try to stop me from doing it,etc.

But the net effect remains: we need to lead the way (when we can) but also work on building resilient communities.
