@ErikvanStraten @Strandjunker Maybe many people are just disappointed by liberal democracy, as practically all „moderate“ politicians are neoliberal at the core, so that their politics only serve the top 1%. Trump and his likes at least pretend to be populist (of course, they do not work „for the people“), while centrist parties only offer minimal change. Despair about the „establishment“ got so big that they fall for their respective „Fuehrer“ just to „feel“ great.
