Well here’s my Monday status, it’s not pretty.
I had an interview that went pretty well last week and I even had a connection to the interviewer from a forum I used to participate in which was weird and unexpected, but I’ll take it. As nice as that is I am not expecting this will be a good fit, and I don’t have any other prospects at the moment.
I haven’t received a dime from unemployment yet, for a variety of reasons, and I expect it will only get harder from here to continue with the process to get any payments at all there.
Still haven’t heard back from my car shop people yet, but I expect that bill will be $1000 US or more, which I definitely do not have.
I’m close to despair, I’ll be honest. I see no out for me and my family.

I’m also open to ideas. My strengths are in Linux, web hosting, various server technologies, troubleshooting strange problems, building cloud and other internet architectures, security. I’m easy to work with, I like telling stories, I have strong ideas about lots of subjects. I like reading and writing sci-fi and fantasy and other speculative fiction. I don’t know what else to say here. Help a comrade out, and thanks for reading.
