prob unhelpful but: i started my transition in the military. i was immediately in legal trouble. I also knew my hyper fundamentalist family was gonna reject me. I did it anyways. I embraced becoming a an outlaw and a reject for my gender from day 1. It was worth it. It shouldn't like this, but when the reality of a person's existence conflicts with the the law either they crumble and submit to the law or they live their true life as an outlaw. I will never stop being glad i chose the latter
