One thing I mentioned in a speech on Saturday was the importance of focusing on local assistance. There are certain federal policies that we will not be able to change, but we can make sure everyone in our community has enough food. We can work so that no person has to sleep outside or in their car. We can support the free community centers that offer meals and mental healthcare. If they implement Project 2025 and income inequality gets worse, we will fight that in our own communities, one neighborhood at a time.
