I'm interested in trying #Pixelfed, but not in the mood and focus for digging through several tutorials, comparing apps, and dealing with unnecessary account creation.

So, any pointers?

• I need a simple Android app (dark mode would be nice) that I can install via F-Droid or if need be Aurora Store.

• Can I use my Mastodon account to log in? Is there a short tutorial for that?

• Also, does Pixelfed have "stories" similar to Instagram? I like that feature for sharing creative WIPs.
