@Mixtape @GrapheneOS the matrix folk themselves have a “next gen” server project called dendrite that’s written in Go which seems like a reasonable choice… but it has been continually playing catch-up with synapse since it was started 7 years ago and still isn’t in a position to replace it. It just isn’t a priority to them, for whatever reason.
