Reading chemical analyses of ash from the Altadena fire; I find reports of lead that was cooked out of old paint and plumbing.
I am reminded of the geochemist Clair Patterson, who found lead contamination in everything when studying meteorites.
And that's why we no longer have lead in gasoline.
