In Turtle Bunbury's The Glorious Madness, a series of essays about the Irish in WWI, he has a story about Valentine Browne. Years after the war a woman said to him, "Lord Castlerosse, if that stomach was on a woman, I would say she was pregnant." Quick as a flash, he came back, "Half an hour ago it was - and she is!"
