@platypus what's wild to me is how just like the loneliness epidemic itself, the AI boyfriend/girlfriend trend seems to cross all sorts of demographic lines??? Like now I'm going down a lunch time reddit rabbit hole of posts from teenagers and 20-somethings talking about how they have AI boyfriends and girlfriends because dating is so hard and demoralizing and I just..... this is when I'm like, maybe the internet was a big mistake.
