@HSTG For those types of people, government parasites, I mean, that would make an excellent cover. He would be collecting personal data from everyone using the site, even more so from the ones who are paying and since it's not extremely expensive for a working man to afford and he's doing something he loves doing and it's practically a laid back experience. Yes, there could be something there.
However, the likes of us, have no need to be in any proximity to him any further. You know, I went to Gab when I got booted from Twitter and Facebook. Around that time I was new to the Fedivers, I never even knew that it existed. Also, I wasn't knowledgeable about running websites, since I was a code, shell and kernel geek. I couldn't be bothered at that time to play on the internet. Anyway, I digress. That's my Gab story. It's a little boring there too.
What I really liked about Gab at that time, was a bit of software called Gab Dissenter, not to be confused with that stupid web browser that Torba hacked together after he killed Dissenter.
Aside from being kicked off of Twitter and Facebook, I got banned from the Discuss commenting system as well.
So Dissenter was an innovative piece of software which would allow every and anyone on the Gab network, to go to any site, even if they had no comment section and we on Gab, could have discussions about whatever pages we read and those pages were recorded. That is they became relevant as long as someone made a comment on them and they could be archived and searched. It was a neat feature and made Gab tolerable, but the fat man killed it. The only traces of Gab Dissenter, only reside in the memories of those of us that used it.
