I'm no fan of most social media, but I completely understand the resentment over the US government shutting down a service popular with younger folks and progressives while ignoring the long running fascism and privacy violations by their American counterparts.
Capitalism is turning the US into a walled dungeon, cut off from better products and services to prop up American billionaires.
