@estherschindler If it was an anti-shoplifting strategy, then it didn't backfire. It only backfired if it was a sales strategy.
Many retailers factor in the cost of the usual level of theft in their pricing. Unfortunately, honest customers pay a little more. But that's a sales strategy.
Locking everything up is a perfect strategy to prevent shoplifting. They could lock the doors, as well.
