Sometimes in software you want to remove support for something, but you're not sure if anyone is actually using it or not.
So you intentionally break it. If no one complains, then you know that no one was actually using it.
This is a public service announcement - make sure you file bugs when you notice things breaking in your favorite piece of free software!
