So, Intel/Altera pulled a WD/Sandisk, and released Altera once more to be a self-standing company with its own leadership and its own destiny.

But I couldn't help but pose the question in the comments on LinkedIn: "Did you learn the lesson and decide to embrace the open source community and Yosys and NextPNR? Or are you going to snub us again?"

Maybe I'm a bit jaded. Maybe I made myself look like an absolute asshole. I don't really care; I just want better cooperation between the big players and the small FOSS/FOSH players who are looking to make a positive difference.

(Besides, my experience is nobody reads the comments anyway.)
