My house is nearly 140-years-old, due to be on the historic register because of the Mormon pioneer that owned it, and very tricky to work with due to the 3-wythe exterior brick walls on a sandstone foundation that surround the kitchen. We can’t make space. We can’t move any of the exterior walls (where cabinets are) due to the historic district and the house’s layout on the plot. We are stuck with the square footage allotted us.
