@intrepidhero It seems so strange to me that so many people who consider themselves patriots do not understand (or have never heard of) George Washington's references to public virtue in his speeches. That tendency to act in ways that benefit the entire community is the foundation of a successful republic, one not overly burdened by laws because the people know how to govern themselves. But I suspect the concept of public virtue would quickly be denounced as "woke" by those who think they know how to make America great.
