Sister complained that the double bed they were sleeping in, was too small, as they're used to a king size at home.

So I checked and a UK double is 135x190cm

The double on the spare bed is 135x185

An EU double is 140x200

A king size is 150x200

So not only is my spare bed smaller than it should be, it's also 10cm shorter in length and 5cm narrower in width than the same sized European ones.

But for some reason, it's 15cm shorter.

So I checked my own bed... and found that was also 5cm shorter than it should be.

I checked the bed frame and found it could easily fit a 140x200 double mattress.

So I guess when I redo the bedrooms, the furniture will now include a new kingsize bed frame and 2 new EU spec mattresses.
