What's under the tree this year? It's Debian Trixie ("testing") installed via a (patched) debian-installer netboot image on the MNT Reform open hardware laptop! Yes, this still requires a custom kernel and some quirks in user-space but instead of being upset that vanilla Debian doesn't work (yet) maybe this can make you feel motivated to help upstreaming the remaining few patches to Linux.
