The broad strokes of this were all known and not meaningfully disputed when Trump nominated Gaetz. Yet, while some GOP signaled they weren't willing to vote for Gaetz, they've been pretty much completely silent as to what the selection says about Trump's judgement, character, and support for the purported deeply held values of the GOP
