@nil So there are 2 patterns: the typical Dragon …Bxf3 & …Nxe4 then …Qa1+ (not a great version as White has Qa3) However it doesn’t work because of the back-rank mate pattern …Bxf3, Qc8+ mate. Black has no threat which means White has time. So attacking another piece with 1.h6 looks very natural indeed. If the bishop retreats to f8 then anything will be strong, maybe 2.Qc7. Would be seen in an instant by a strong player (assuming I’m right 😂)
