Does every iPhone in an iPhone 5 case eventually have its battery go haywire and bloat the screen off the housing?

My poor wittle iPhone SE № 1 is no longer a back-up iPhone, it is the patient. And soon for the morgue (Apple Store recycling program).

I have a bunch of junk for Apple but I'll wait til after the Holidays since it'd be mean to saddle them with it right now.
