Millions of years after formation, the Moon displayed such immense volcanic activity that most of its crust reheated - thus resetting its geological clock. As scientists from University of California Santa Cruz, #mpsgoettingen and Collége de France argue today in Nature Magazine, the Moon is at least 4.43 billion years old, but its crust is younger.
