When on any new socials, and people say "it's much nicer here" - maybe a pause or acknowledgement of how this might be possible because of who you are.
For far too many communities, abuse seems to follow them regardless of their platform of choice, even Mastodon, Bluesky, etc.
What does "friendlier" look like and to whom?
