I love it when I come across these so called educated professionals. Who state the exact same thing in the same terminology I've been saying for nearly two decades.
Of course wanting to experience life as something else is a maladaptive copying mechanism, of course it involved limerence, magical thinking, escaping into a fantasy world. An inability to accept reality, a desire to control every aspect of our reality.
An inability to accept things as they are for the longing of experiencing that which could have been.
As well as many other aspects. Childhood trauma, narcissism, sexual exploration, even darker aspects like criminalisation and predation.
Being so mentally ill you desire to over rule truth and remake your own is harrowing in an incomprehensible way.
