Talking to my kid tonight about some new music discovery on Octane, including some country metal. Definitely recognizable as country, but dump the derivative bro country cold beer, pickup trucks, & tight jeans lyrics, add in some crunchy drop-tuned power chords and a metal drummer, and the result is surprisingly solid even for non country fans.
Kid starts singing in this twangy accent, "Ahm cuuntree, but ah got feelins, sumtahms I get ril dee pressed"
I damn near choked I was laughing so hard.
