Toot

Other observations of the writing I was doing back then:
- Boy, I chattered WAY more about my personal life 20 years ago than I do in any public forum today, which is one of the reasons I'm not linking directly to all this stuff, though it's out there.
- My LiveJournal activity was incredibly frenetic in 2003 when I first came on, then rapidly dropped off in volume. A surprising number of my own old blog posts that I think about reading again now, and can't initially find, turn out to just be from that first year!
- I made a lot of short posts that were almost Twitter-worthy, and when I do read them now they turn out to be much shorter than I expected. I got more long-winded and infrequent later.
- A thing LiveJournal had that I miss is just the chronological calendar archive view and the "next entry" and "previous entry" links. (Because it's a journal, right?) Modern social media doesn't have that, it just atomizes everything.
