Friday after Thanksgiving, husband and I are standing at the kitchen counter, sharing the last piece of pecan pie, and our 10yo suddenly wants permission to boil the bone from his turkey drumstick.
Us: Why???
10yo: I want to keep it, like a souvenir!
Us: 👀 👀
10yo: I thought it could be a new tradition!
So now there is a pot on to boil, and plans to bake the bone on low heat for a while afterwards… Is that even the right approach? I’m just making this up as we go along.
